The annual SOMDIAA HR seminar, which brings together the various Human Resources Department representatives of the Group's affiliates, was held in Yamoussoukro, Ivory Coast on October 5-7, 2011.

The first speaker, Thierry TENE, who is actively involved in the development of corporate social responsibility within African businesses, opened the seminar on the issue of corporate social responsibility.

After analyzing the results of the CSR survey conducted within the SOMDIAA Group discussions continued on CSR stakeholders and issues from an African perspective, with ethics, the fight against corruption, the fight against poverty and the fight against AIDS as top priorities, which does not preclude actions dealing with the environment, quality, labor law, health and safety.

Other HR issues were addressed in particular to improve Human Resources Departments supporting actions within each company.

A guided tour of the city was also organized with a special tasting of local dishes.
